Green Tara weekend retreat,
16 - 17 Augustus 2025
with Margo van Greta
Tara is the female Buddha. The benefits of practising Tara are uncountable. She is especially quick in granting us success in obtaining the ultimate happiness of enlightenment. Tara can also solve more mundane problems in life: removing obstacles and bringing success.
Green Tara practice has been used for centuries by people in times of need. The meditation and recitations of the mantra positively affect the subtle forces of the universe that influence everything in our lives. Tara's quality is compassion in action. She is ready to step off her seat, into the world, ready to give help where needed. This makes her practice especially appropriate for us at these challenging times.
Her special quality is Bodhicitta, the attitude of developing yourself to benefit all beings. Her practice gives you the strength, resilience, and inner joy to tackle the challenges of your life and be a positive influence in our world.
Here you can read what Lama Zopa Rinpoche explains about the Benefits of the Green Tara practice.
Format The sessions include meditation, visualisation, recitation of the mantra, and time for discussion and questions.
Dates:
Saturday 16 August 10am-5pm
Sunday 17 August 10am-5pm
Venue: Sunshine Room, The Park, Ecovillage Findhorn
Suggested donation: £100-£75-£50.
