Introduction to Buddhist Tantra
Discovering Buddhism module 13
from 30 August 2017
Margo van Greta

Picture

Introduction to Tantra is the thirteenth of fourteen modules being offered in this program.
In this module you will learn the meaning of tantra, how tantra works, and why it is a powerful form of practice if done with the right foundation of understanding and practice. Get a broad overview of the distinction between sutra and tantra, the four classes of tantra and the meaning of deity yoga. In addition, find out how to integrate the practices of tantra with lam-rim meditation for optimal results.

The classes will be a combination of teaching, discussion and meditation. You will get access to the online material: the introduction DVD, audio teachings and PDF transcript, extra recommended reading, and a review quiz to check your understanding.

Who is this course for?
Some understanding of the Lam Rim, or participation in previous modules of Discovering Buddhism is recommended. If you are unsure this is for you, please check in at the email address underneath.
