Volunteer opportunities at Togme Sangpo

Are you passionate about the Dharma? Would you like to help our study group bringing Buddhism to more people in Scotland?
This is a great opportunity to serve our regional Dharma practitioners, the FPMT, and Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Here are current posts:


SPIRITUAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR.
Tasks and responsibilities, they include, yet are not limited to:
  • Creating, monitoring and coordinating the programme: retreats, classes, pujas.
  • This will include all aspects from initiating events, inviting teachers and responding to enquiries.
  • Liaison with the Togme Sangpo Coordinator +  Coordination team,
  • Liaison with FPMT Tour coordinator 
  • Along with the Coordination Team, developing Togme Sangpo study group.

PUBLICITY/COMMUNICATIONS
Tasks and responsibilities, they include, yet are not limited to:
  • Updating the Website.
  • Responsible for mailing list and the general Togme Sangpo email address.
  • Responsible for publicity & promotion, including press/posters & mailings for events & teachings.
  • Liasing with FB & newsletter.
 
FACEBOOK
Our Facebook page needs someone to look after it! Responsibilities will be to post information on events/retreats and pujas, plus inspiring Dharma  posts related related to the FPMT.

Qualities of the candidates include: 
Familiarity with and appreciation for the Dharma, especially within the FPMT
A connection with and respect for Lama Zopa Rinpoche, or a willingness to develop a connection.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Being self motivated, and working as part of a team.
The position is volunteer work, and occasionally some of the functions may involve a very modest financial contribution after adequate induction period.

Starting time: To be negotiated. Handover time and training is available.
