The Spiritual Teacher
Discovering Buddhism module 4
Margo van Greta
1, 8, 22, 29 June 2016, 7.30-9pm.

In this module you will investigate the role of the teacher on the spiritual path: the need for a teacher, the qualities of a teacher, the qualities of a student, and how to relate to a teacher for greatest benefit in one’s spiritual life. You will consider the challenges we face when thinking of entering into a “guru-disciple” relationship and learn how to overcome these skillfully.
The course will include a 30 minute video, teachings, discussions and meditations. Access to online reading material will be provided.
Discovering Buddhism is a 14 module course created by the FPMT.

Margo van Greta
Involved with the Dharma since 1987, Margo has studied and practised both in the east and the west. She spends one month a year in retreat, and is keen to bring the Buddhist teachings and practices into our western culture, our lives and hearts through evening classes and retreats. She lives in the Findhorn Community since 1991, working at the Findhorn Foundation,  and she started the Togme Sangpo study group with the encouragement of her teacher Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
