Samsara and Nirvana
Discovering Buddhism Module 9,
Margo van Greta, from 7 October 2015
In this module you will investigate what samsara is and how we are stuck in it. Find out what nirvana is and how to achieve it. Develop the determination to be free from suffering and its cause and empower yourself with practical tools to deal with and eliminate disturbing emotions forever.

According to Buddhism, the best way of dealing with disturbing emotions, such as anger and jealousy, is the  "middle way" between two unskilful modes: suppressing them and acting them out. The middle way involves first acknowledging the emotions when they arise in our mind, and then working on them to transform our state of mind from negative into positive, so that we avoid harming ourselves and others. The course will include an explanation of the mind and emotions, as well as instructions on meditation for working on individual emotions in order to transform the mind and achieve genuine peace and happiness.
Open to everyone! More info on Discovering Buddhism
