How to Meditate: Peaceful Mind, Loving Heart
Discovering Buddhism
Saturday 9 June 2018, Banchory, Aberdeenshire
Margo van Greta
As our lives get more complicated, it seems we need more and more things to make us happy, but somehow we never really succeed. The simple truth eludes us, that happiness is a state of mind, not dependent on external objects. True, deep happiness lies within us and we can tap this great source through meditation.
During this day you will learn basic meditation techniques. You will learn the definition and purpose of meditation, how to sit properly, how to set up a meditation session, the different types of meditation techniques one may employ, and how to recognise and deal with obstacles to meditation.
We will practice different types of meditation, and have space for questions and discussion. We do some simple body work to help our body relax.
For beginners and beyond!
