How to relate to the Spiritual Teacher

In this module you will investigate the role of the teacher on the spiritual path:
  • the need for a teacher,
  • the qualities of a teacher,
  • the qualities of a student,
  • how to relate to a teacher for greatest benefit in one’s spiritual life.

You will consider the challenges we face when thinking of entering into a “guru-disciple” relationship and learn how to overcome these skillfully.
The course will include:
  • Teachings and discussions
  • Meditations​
  • A 30 minute video 
  • Access to online reading and audio material will be provided.
Discovering Buddhism is a 14 module course created by the FPMT.

Involved with the Dharma since 1987, Margo has studied and practised with various teachers from like His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khadrola, Venerable Robina Courtin and many more.. She spends one month a year in retreat. She lives in Ecovillage Findhorn in Scotland since 1991, and she started the Togme Sangpo study group with the encouragement of her teacher Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
