Venerable Robina Courtin
Bodhicitta: a paradigm shift
Sunday 20 August 2023
Hybrid: In Person and Online
A bird needs two wings: wisdom and compassion.
Having been through the earlier stages of practice on the wisdom wing – cultivating renunciation of suffering and its causes by understanding the natural law of karma and attachment and the other delusions — we now move to the development of unparalleled levels of love and compassion and the other virtues that Lord Buddha says are at the core of our being.
This culminates in Bodhichitta: a paradigm shift in the mind, away from self-centredness to only ever thinking of others and to never giving up perfecting oneself as a buddha in order to benefit others perfectly.
